We use some of the strongest woodworking joints, including mortise and tenon, to frame our timber homes. It is designed to secure a wooden tongue, otherwise referred to as the tenon, on the end of another wood piece that is then inserted into the mortise. Altmuehlsee is according to me the most beautiful lake in the area. I visited it in winter so I can't say what is a service quality. But it seems to have everything one can need to relax on the beach or enjoy water sports. There is a bicycle path around the whole lake and marked hiking trail.
